How enrolment works

From application to your first lesson, here is what to expect when you join Al Furqan Centre.

Enrolment is open until 18 Sept 2026.

  1. Step 1. Apply online

    Fill in a short application form on the enrol page. It takes about five minutes.

  2. Step 2. We review your application

    An admin reviews every application before an account is created.

  3. Step 3. Activate your account

    You receive an email with an activation link. Follow it to set your password and open your account.

  4. Step 4. Choose a payment plan

    Sign in and pick the payment plan that suits you, or apply for a scholarship.

  5. Step 5. Pay your first instalment

    Pay securely by card. You get a receipt for every payment.

  6. Step 6. You're in

    Your timetable, class group and lessons are ready for you in the portal.

What to expect from the portal

Awraq is your student portal for the whole year. Everything works in your browser on your phone, with nothing to install. Once you are enrolled you will use it for:

  • Your timetable: see your lessons for the week, including any changes.
  • Attendance: your attendance record, kept up to date.
  • Homework: receive homework, submit your work and get feedback.
  • Exams: sit quizzes and exams and see your marks.
  • Billing and receipts: pay your instalments and keep a receipt for every payment.

Common questions

How much does the programme cost?

The total course fee for the 2024–25 academic year is £150.

You can pay in the way that suits you:

  • Pay in full: one payment of £150
  • Termly: 2 payments of £75
  • Monthly: 8 monthly payments of £18.75

Scholarships are available. You can apply through the student portal once your application is approved. Scholarships are subject to approval.

When do lessons take place?

Lesson times depend on your class. Year One runs every Saturday and Sunday, 11am to 1pm. Year Two runs every Monday, 6pm to 8pm, and every Wednesday, 7.30pm to 8.30pm.

The 2024–25 academic year runs from 19 Sept 2026 to 25 Apr 2027. You will see your full timetable in the portal once you are enrolled.

Why is there a course fee?

A small fee supports our students’ commitment to the programme, and it supports the masjid’s wider dawah programmes, which are offered free of charge. All proceeds go to the masjid’s dawah activities.

Are classes segregated?

Classes are taught jointly to brothers and sisters, with measures in place for segregation.

What is the age requirement to enrol?

The programme is aimed at students aged 16 and above.

How do I sign up?

Apply on our enrol page. It is a short form that takes about five minutes. An admin reviews every application, and once you are approved you receive an activation email. Follow the link in it to set your password and open your student account.

Can I join online?

Yes. Choose onsite, online, or both when you apply.

What happens after I apply?
  1. We review your application.
  2. You receive an activation email and set your password.
  3. You sign in and choose a payment plan, or apply for a scholarship.
  4. You pay your first instalment by card.
  5. You get access to your timetable, class group and lessons.
How do I pay?

Payments are made by card through Stripe, a secure payment provider. We never see or store your card details. You choose a payment plan when you first sign in, pay each instalment from the Billing page in the portal, and get a receipt for every payment.

What if I cannot afford the fee?

You can apply for a scholarship through the student portal once your application is approved. Scholarships are subject to approval. If you are unsure, apply anyway and speak to the academy.

When does enrolment close?

Enrolment for the 2024–25 academic year is open until 18 Sept 2026. Make sure you apply before then.
